Training Peaks custom workout on Zwift Running + Stryd

Training Peaks custom workout on Zwift Running + Stryd

I’ve been working my power zones in Stryd, trying to adjust my stats to suit the training I need to do for my upcoming event. Today I created a custom pace-based workout in Training Peaks and synced it to Zwift Running. I was way off in the effective watts, but it was still a good workout. Then I set the treadmill to 22% and hiked to see what the effect on power in the Stryd Droid App would be. For more check out https://www.sevensummitsbody.com

Zwift Fit File Crash Recovery Demonstration

Zwift Fit File Crash Recovery Demonstration

If Zwift or your PC crash while riding, you can save the .fit file Zwift stores in the back end. While you can’t import it back into Zwift, you can upload it to Strava (and others – though we demonstrate Strava here). You have to repair the file which was damaged by the crash first. Here’s how I do that. YMMV. Check out more at https://www.sevensummitsbody.com

Stryd Dashboard – using the Analyze tab

Stryd Dashboard - using the Analyze tab

The Stryd App syncs your Stryd footpod to your Stryd account online, where you can log in to view your stats in your dashboard. First of all, each workout is shown in the Analyze tab, where you can view your stats up close and personal. In this video I show you a few of the data points you can view, and a little information about how I use the data. Zwift Quick How-To – Pair and Select Route

Zwift Quick How-To - Pair and Select Route

Starting Zwift. Pairing your trainer and sensors. Selecting a route. Starting to ride. Just a very short video demonstration of how to do all that when you first start riding. After a glitch with a dead battery in my Garmin Cadence Sensor I got all paired up and started riding London Classique – a classic route if ever there were one. BTW: I did 8 laps tonight for 27+ miles of London fun.

Zwift Cycling 10 Volcano Laps and Zwift App Feb 4

Zwift Cycling 10 Volcano Laps and Zwift App Feb 4

After getting logged in to Zwift I show you how I select a route and get started. Then we go a full lap of the Volcano Circuit in Watopia. I check in a couple times from the route and finish at 10 Laps. Then we get to see the app in action as I scroll through my results and save them to Strava. Finally we get to check out my Specialized Camber Comp set in my Wahoo Kickr Core as I swap out my Selle SMP Drakon seat for the boys’ Specialized Henge. Good stuff.
